We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do. Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Chesterfield Borough Council has been awarded £1.27 million from the Government to provide discretionary grants to some local businesses who were not eligible to receive funding from the Small Business Rates Grant or Retail, Hospitality or Leisure Grants. Small businesses can apply for grants of up to £25,000, though the council expects that most grant payments will be in the range of £2,500 to £10,000.

Congratulations to the Asian Association of Chesterfield & North Derbyshire for being awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund - Reaching Communities of £21,866 for their new Covid-19 Meals on Wheels activity. Their Meals on Wheels project will provide fresh, healthy, and affordable meals three days a week for older and vulnerable people with no ethnicity or cultural bar.
