Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey

We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do.  Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area.

However, there are still people needing help, mainly for shopping, collecting prescriptions, someone to talk to; and they could be your neighbours.

Are you doing this in your local area or do you know of any people who have got together and are offering neighbourly support to people in need?

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey so that you can be added to the list of help in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire.

Spring Impact Offers Consultancy Support to VCSE Organisations

Backed by the National Lottery Community Fund since 2015, and managed by Spring Impact, the Scale Accelerator is a highly regarded programme that helps UK charities and social enterprises to scale their impact and change more lives, by providing vital support, skills and perspective.

In light of the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak, the programme will offer two new tracks tailored to organisations facing critical challenges as a result of the crisis:

  • Track one: Reaching more people. This track will help organisations work out how to scale their impact (without necessarily needing to grow their organisation!). The consultants will work collaboratively with the organisation to think through what their programme could look like in new locations, which partners might implement their solution elsewhere, and what their relationships with those partners could look like.
  • Track two: Reviewing the road ahead to maximise impact. This track is for organisations who are at a critical point and need to pivot, prioritise and adapt to have as much impact as possible.

Organisations on both tracks will receive £30,000 worth of consultancy support from a dedicated team of consultants who will work collaboratively with them over the six months to:

  • Define a strategy for how to maximise their impact.
  • Explore different routes to scaling and maximising impact and consider what is right for them.
  • Understand the financial implications of their plans for impact.
