Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey

We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do.  Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area.

However, there are still people needing help, mainly for shopping, collecting prescriptions, someone to talk to; and they could be your neighbours.

Are you doing this in your local area or do you know of any people who have got together and are offering neighbourly support to people in need?

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey so that you can be added to the list of help in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire.

Chat with NHS and CCG - can you help?

Here at Community Chesterfield, we love working with you all and we hope that we have been helpful to you and your organisation.

We are now half way through our funding period and need to learn from what we have been doing. We want to ensure that we support as many of the local voluntary community sector groups as possible and of course we need some proof that this project was worth funding. We hope that you can help us by completing this very quick questionnaire as we really need your feedback.

It should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Thank you very much in advance to all who can respond.

The questionnaire can be accessed HERE

Free Digital Connectivity Webinar - introduction to participating in activities remotely

As part of Kakou's Fusion Music project they are holding a webinar to introduce people to participating in group activities remotely using the internet.

Most people are familiar with email or social media, however in a time where isolation and social distancing is becoming the norm, communities and grassroots groups are turning to new and unfamiliar online tools to coordinate, share information, support each other, and connect.

This webinar will give an overview of how to use various online tools and resources to collaborate, whether it be for simple chatting, meetings or larger group projects with file-sharing.

The majority of the tools featured are free or low-cost, but provide high impact.

This webinar is free and open to individuals, community/grassroots groups and larger organisations.

Date: Tuesday 1st September 2020

Time: 10.30am - 12.30pm

Location: Virtual – a link will be sent out prior to the event

Chat with NHS and CCG - can you help?

Don’t miss out on having this chat with the NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Joined Up Care Derbyshire, facilitated by Community Chesterfield

8th October 2pm-4pm (On Zoom)

• Do you live, work, study or volunteer in Chesterfield?

• Do you or someone you know feel like your views on NHS services are not heard?

• Do you or someone you know feel no one tries to get in touch with you for your views?

• Do you or someone you know need extra support to get your views across, particularly during these COVID times?

The session aims to identify the ways in which your voice and the voices of the people you work with can be heard by the NHS Derby and Derbyshire CCG and Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

This is a start to an important ongoing conversation. What you tell the Derby and Derbyshire CCG and Joined Up Care Derbyshire at this session about the best ways to communicate will be used to plan how and who they ask for their views in the future.
