Venues open after lockdown survey
Some groups are finding their meeting place is not big enough to allow social distancing. We would like to hear from venues who may be able to offer them alternative facilities.

Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey
We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do. Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.
We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area.
Information on meeting with others safely. When seeing friends and family you do not live with you should meet in groups of 6 or less. In England, this limit of 6 includes children of any age.
If you want to make an LPA now, you can still do so while observing government guidance on social distancing, self-isolating and shielding. Changes to links to social distancing and local lockdown.
Public Health England publishes third annual report on industry action to reduce sugar levels in products that contribute most to children’s sugar intakes.
Guidance for people planning to get married or form a civil partnership in England. Updated guidance on wedding and civil partnership receptions and celebrations. Changes cover the rules on face coverings, distance between tables, singing in groups of more than 6, dancing, music volume and enforcement.

Governance Advice & Updates
Rachael Maskell MP, the Labour shadow minister for the voluntary sector and charities, said she will carry out a review of the Charity Commission, Civil Society reports. Maskell told the Association of Charitable Organisations’ annual conference: “We need to really think what the point of the Commission is, and get back to basics.” She said it is important that the regulator is properly resourced and that charities are being supported.
2020 has been a tough year for many and has left some organisations needing to close their doors for the final time. If this has affected you take a look at NCVO's steps on how best to close your voluntary organisation with advice for helping your team, planning your closure and carrying out a closure check list.
3SC are looking for partners who want to access funding through the Kickstart Scheme but do not have a minimum of 30 placements in their organisation so are unable to access funding by themselves.
Congratulations to Ashgate Heritage Arts who been awarded an Arts Council Project Grant (R &D) to develop “The Crooked Spire - a medieval, murder mystery musical” further. They are calling it Stage Two which will involve a short film telling the main part of the story and an online meet and greet with the actors.
