Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Links Board of Directors has made the decision to temporarily close the office until further notice in order to minimise any potential risk to our staff and VCS group representatives in support of the official attempt to slow down the pandemic. If there are any changes, we will keep you informed.

Please note that the staff will be working from home and can be contacted on the details below during our usual office hours 10:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday. Our email address will still be monitored as normal.

Venues open after lockdown survey

Some groups are finding their meeting place is not big enough to allow social distancing.  We would like to hear from venues who may be able to offer them alternative facilities.

Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey

We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do.  Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area. 

However, there are still people needing help, mainly for shopping, collecting prescriptions, someone to talk to; and they could be your neighbours. 

Are you doing this in your local area or do you know of any people who have got together and are offering neighbourly support to people in need?

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey so that you can be added to the list of help in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire.

Job opportunity for someone with a learning disability

Its a paid job as a Learning Disability and Autism Network Manager for the NHS. It is advertised for someone with a Learning disability or Autism.

It is based in Leeds but they are working from home at the moment and will support the person to do that.

The successful person can choose when they work - up to 30 hours per week

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Voluntary Sector Partner Governor vacancy.

Governors serve for an initial period of 3 years and are eligible for reappointment for 9 years

  • It is a voluntary role (travel expenses are paid)
  • A DBS check is required
  • Governors sign a Code of Conduct
  • There a 7 Council of Governor meetings a year usually lasting 3 hours (some reading time is required prior to the meeting)
  • Commitment to the role varies depending on how involved you are - minimum commitment would be approximately a day a month
  • Induction would be in January 2021 and will be virtual due to COVID

Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts are looking for four enthusiastic individuals to join their board of trustees.

They welcome applications from individuals of all walks of life; aiming for a diverse board, so no specific skills or experience are required.  The role is suitable for everyone, whether you're looking to retire and give back to your local community, interested in exploring other avenues in your working life, or just starting a career and interested in expanding your skills.

You would be pivotal in helping to lead the charity and support the management team in developing services and securing the vital resources needed to meet demand and provide the local communities with free and impartial advice.

The role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses met, and requires a few hours of commitment a month.  Given the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, most of the initial induction and upcoming board meetings will be conducted virtually.
