Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey

We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do.  Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area.

However, there are still people needing help, mainly for shopping, collecting prescriptions, someone to talk to; and they could be your neighbours.

Are you doing this in your local area or do you know of any people who have got together and are offering neighbourly support to people in need?

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey so that you can be added to the list of help in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire.

Poetry Workshops

The aim of the workshops is to bring people together who are interested in poetry and writing poetry.

The workshops are open to anyone interested in poetry, whether you are a beginner or experienced poet. Poetry really is an activity anyone can join in with.  Poetry doesn’t have to rhyme; many modern poets now use a free-flowing verse.  So, don’t be put off by any technicalities for writing poetry.

The workshops will take place via zoom.  If you need any help with this please do not hesitate to contact Joanne Gordon via email on mail@tinnitussupport.org.uk.The first workshop will take place on Wednesday 18th November 2pm – 3pm.

A simple acrostic poem to get you started:

POSITIVE

Poetry is an expression

Of feelings and emotions

Spilling out thoughts

Imagination laid bare on the page

Transcending our ideas and

Inviting you to join our

Vibrant Community

Energised through verse
