Venues open after lockdown survey

Some groups are finding their meeting place is not big enough to allow social distancing.  We would like to hear from venues who may be able to offer them alternative facilities.

Help Needed in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Survey

We know about the community groups that operate and the good work that you all do.  Sadly, we understand that many of you have had to close down due to the Coronavirus crisis.

We are now mapping the help that is available in your residential area.

However, there are still people needing help, mainly for shopping, collecting prescriptions, someone to talk to; and they could be your neighbours.

Are you doing this in your local area or do you know of any people who have got together and are offering neighbourly support to people in need?

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey so that you can be added to the list of help in Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire.

Christmas School Holidays Fundraising Appeal

As you are aware, the Feeding Derbyshire network of School Holiday Clubs have been working hard to support struggling families throughout the Covid-19 crisis. With our support, they have been able to provide children with food parcels during the Summer and October Half-term Holidays.

To date, our Healthy Holidays programme has been supported by funding from Derbyshire County Council, Feeding Britain, Central England Co-Op and funds raised by the projects themselves.

However, we would like to raise additional funds for the Christmas period to ensure that families not only have the basics covered, but that they can have a few festive treats too!

Please visit our fundraising page to find out more about the project, why additional funds are needed and to donate what you can.  We would be grateful if you could create a link to this page from your own websites, as appropriate.

Please also share this email with your networks, colleagues, families and friends.

You can visit our Facebook page and share the Fundraising post we have created (it is pinned to the top for easy access!) A press release will follow shortly!

Many thanks for your support!

**REMINDER** Invitation to take part in the Ageing well programme - Get involved and have your say

Just a quick reminder of the Ageing Well survey and engagement events as below.  Apologies if this is not quite relevant to your field of work.

We would like to share some exciting engagement opportunities with you regarding the National NHS Programme ‘Ageing Well’ and the progress being made in Derby and Derbyshire.

(This engagement work started pre COVID, and we have kept that feedback - now we are keen to understand if the current situation has changed people’s thoughts.)

The programme looks at how we care for our population in the community to help to stay well and healthy at home. Please visit our website for further information on Ageing Well:

Get involved and have your say

We invite you to complete a short survey and to also attend an Engagement Event (virtually).  Please feel free to share this with other members of your organisation or services users who may be interested in taking part.

This survey has been developed to understand your experiences when accessing healthcare from the place you call home. We would like to hear what is most important to you when you think about your healthcare and where you feel most supported accessing care services. We are also interested to understand how you would like to access support when you need it most, who would you like to visit your home when you are unwell or in need of urgent care at home or in hospital.

We invite you to attend an Ageing Well Engagement Event.  Patient and carer involvement is essential in the development of the Ageing Well programme - we would very much appreciate your involvement and experience.

2 virtual events are being held on Wednesday 9 December and Thursday 10 December to promote the Ageing Well programme. Hearing your experiences would be of immense benefit to help us co-design services and outcomes for the programme.

If you are interested in attending one of the above events, please use this link to register, this is a secure way of us sending you the joining link for the session. We will not store or use your email for any other purpose than this engagement event.
